Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor is an American screen and stage actress who is best well-known for her films as a character in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer who is active in theater, film as well as television. Her acting career started in the theatre. Later, she was a part of several television shows as well as independent and mainstream film. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. On BET's massive show The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her role but was also awarded and nominations. She began her career as an actress in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest. In addition to Broadway's Come and Gone, she also has credits for Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. In terms of her film career Her most well-known roles are Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. In her television work, she has been praised for her performance as the regular character in ABC's police drama High Incident.
