Angelica Therese Bengtsson excels at pole vaulting. She became the first pole vault winner at the very first Summer Youth Olympics in Singapore 2010. Bengtsson was crowned gold medalist at both the World Youth Championships of 2009 and the World Junior Championships of 2010 in Athletics. Her birth father Mark Charlson is a retired U.S. Navy man from Iowa, United States; who in the mid-1980's was aboard the U.S.S. O'Brien, stationed in Philippines. She was adopted by Annabelle Panganiban as just a newborn. Her parents Adolfo and Mila Panganiban aided in raising her.
